Air Conditioning Compressors

YOUR COMPRESSOR MAY NOT BE BAD. The compressor is the heart of the air conditioning system. The compressor’s job is to compress the refrigerant into a high temperature gas, which is pumped into the condenser coil where it condenses back to a liquid. The liquid is then pumped into the evaporator coil (evaporation causes cooling). The refrigerant is then pumped back into the compressor where the cycle is repeated.

Many times, compressors are condemned simply because they are locked up. A compressor may experience a static lock because of dirty or restrictive filters, dirty coils, or other failed parts.

Hendel’s has equipment to unlock and restart compressors. Anytime you’re told your compressor has failed, we recommend you seek a second opinion. Stop by our showroom located a half-mile south of Guadalupe on Arizona Avenue or just call us at 480-813-1700.
